Divorces in New York New York

There are two basic types of divorce law: fault and not fault. The states that use a no fault system do not make it a requirement that there be a clear reason for the divorce. It is often enough to state that the couple has irreconcilable differences.

Other states use a "fault" divorce system where the spouse filing for divorce must show some reason for seeking the divorce, such as abuse or adultery.

Elmont Divorce lawyers will be familiar with the divorce laws in New York.

Its population is estimated at about 33,000.
